A pair of local students is the latest to receive a scholarship from Grove City College that is intended for Butler County residents.
Zoe Fischer of Butler was named as this year’s recipient of the Ronald and Joyce Brandon Academic Scholarship.
The $8,400 annual award is designated to only Butler County students who attend Grove City.
Fischer is the 26th Butler County student to receive a Brandon Scholarship.
Meanwhile, the Brandon family also sponsors a scholarship strictly for nursing students. Gabrielle Hartle of Harrisville was named this year’s recipient and will receive a $5,000 annual scholarship.
The scholarships are endowed by former Butler Radio owner Ron Brandon and his wife Joyce.
