Local veterans will receive assistance from a statewide grant program.
The Butler County Office of Veterans Affairs has been awarded $12,000 in grants through the Veterans Trust Fund which is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
Along with matching funds, this money will be used to support and expand outreach services to veterans across our county over the next two years.
A total of $650,000 in grants is made possible through voluntary $3 donations from motorists who apply for or renew a drivers license, photo ID, or motor vehicle registration. This fund also receives proceeds from the sale of Honoring Veterans license plates.
