Karns City Pushes Back Start Date For Elementary Students

The start of the Karns City School District school year is being pushed back for elementary students.

With ongoing construction happening at the Chicora Elementary School, the project has forced the district to move the start date back to August 30^th. Sugarcreek Elementary students will also begin their school year on the 30^th.

This will be the last year Karns City has two elementary schools, as Chicora Elementary will house all students in kindergarten through 6^th grade starting next fall.

High school students will still begin their school year on August 23^rd.
