Butler County Community College is celebrating the success of their annual golf outing, which brought in six-figures in fundraising.
The 28th annual BC3 Education Foundation golf outing was held earlier this month at Olde Stonewall Golf Club and raised $108,000.
College officials say the proceeds came from the 41 sponsors and a record 128 golfers.
Since the golfing outing’s inaugural year in 1996—the annual fundraiser has raised over $1.4 million. The proceeds are used to fund student scholarships, adult literacy, financial literacy, food security and other BC3 initiatives.
The team from Alliance for Nonprofit Resources, with golfers Rob Rentz, Cody Slater, Jake Grumski, and Nelson Johnson secured a two stroke victory by shooting a 15 under 55 in the scramble format.
