Mars Area School District has accepted a large donation from a local business while also preparing to host the community at a free event this weekend.
During a special meeting Thursday afternoon, the Mars School Board accepted a $50,000 donation from Mars Bank that will be used to improve equipment in the High School Technology Lab.
Mars Area High School is hosting a Friday Night Lineup Event on Sunday at 6 p.m. Community members are invited to stop by the Mars Athletic Complex to meet members of this year’s varsity football team as well as enjoy performances by Mars cheerleaders, dance team, and marching band. The day will also include food trucks and refreshments available for purchase.
