Progress continues on land in the Pullman Business Park purchased three years ago by Butler Township to use for recreational purposes as well as the nearest intersection.
Monday night the Township Commissioners approved a motion to direct the Township engineer to draft specifications for a concession and restroom building project in order to advertise for bids. This project will also include the addition of a parking lot at the field facility.
The Commissioners also approved a motion for drafting specifications for the Hansen Avenue, Whitestown Road, Armco Drive traffic project in order to advertise for bids. PennDOT will help to coordinate this work so that at least one lane of traffic will always be open.
The timeline for this process could see bids awarded in October or November with construction expected to get underway in the spring.
