The Pittsburgh Penguins open their NHL regular season schedule tonight when they host the Chicago Blackhawks at PPG Paints Arena. Face-off is 8pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 7:30pm.
The game is one of three scheduled to open the season, with this game being featured because of Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and Chicago rookie Connor Bedard, who was the top overall draft pick in most recent NHL draft. Much like Crosby when he was selected first overall in 2005, Bedard is considered a “generational talent”.
