Boys Soccer:
–Seneca Valley remained unbeaten and won their section following a 2-0 victory over previously undefeated North Allegheny last night. The win gives the Raiders the Class 4A Section 1 title and improves their record to 13-0-3 overall. Their section record is now 11-0-3. The two teams had battled to a 1-1 tie in their first game in mid-September. North Allegheny falls to 13-1-3 overall and 10-1-3 in the section.
–Butler-7 North Hills-2. Nick Niebauer led Butler with two goals with five other players scoring for the Golden Tornado who improved to 12-2-3 overall and 9-2-2 in the tough Class 4A Section 1.
–Deer Lakes defeated Freeport 6-1 last night to clinch Class 2A Section 2 and eliminate the Yellow Jackets from the post-season. The Lancers are the defending WPIAL Class 2A champions. They improved to 14-2 overall. Freeport fell to 8-7.
–Knoch-12 Derry-0. The Knights improved to 11-3 in that Class 2A Section 2.
–Hampton-3 North Catholic-2.
–Karns City-2 Brookville-1.
–Portersville Christian-1 Beaver County Christian-0.
Girls Soccer:
–Karns City-4 Brookville-0. Bree O’Donnell scored twice for the Gremlins.
–Slippery Rock-2 Grove City-1.
