Penn State Extension is offering an online program later this week about affordable and adaptable housing options.
A 75 minute webinar on housing solution for individuals of various ages, abilities, and income levels titled “Accessory Dwelling Units: Removing Barriers and Encouraging Construction from the Ground Up” will begin at noon Wednesday.
Various municipal officials and a representative of the AARP will discuss how small houses or apartments located on the same lot as a single family home can provide a more affordable alternative for potential homebuyers. Local codes, policies, and practices may need to be modified.
This monthly land-use webinar series offered by Penn State Extension for a minor fee will continue through next month. This program will be recorded and available for future viewing with more information available on the Penn State Extension website.
