WPIAL Girls Volleyball Playoffs:
–North Catholic defeated Oakland Catholic 3-1 in the Class 3A Semifinals. The Lady Trojans improved to 18-1 this season and will meet Hampton Saturday afternoon for the championship. Hampton defeated Thomas Jefferson 3-0 last night in the other 3A Semifinal last night and improved to 21-0 this season.
–Canon-McMillan eliminated the Seneca Valley girls with a 3-0 win last night in the Class 4A Semifinals. Canon-McMillan will meet North Allegheny for the title Saturday. N.A. shutout Pine-Richland 3-0 in the other Semifinal last night.
The Moniteau girls volleyball team will meet defending champion Kane tonight in the District 9 Class 2A title game. The match will be played at Brockway high school at 6:30pm.
The Mars girls soccer team will meet Montour tonight in the WPIAL Class 3A Consolation Game. The match begins at 7pm at North Allegheny high school.
