New charges have been announced against a nurse accused of homicide in several nursing homes.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry has announced more charges against 41-year-old Heather Pressdee for 19 more patients from five different care facilities across Western Pennsylvania. Previously, Pressdee had been charged in May for the death of two patients and hospitalizing another person at Quality Life Services in Chicora.
She is now facing charges from the following facilities: Concordia at Rebecca Residence, Belair Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and Sunny view Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Pressdee is accused of injecting insulin during overnight hours while residents where under her care at these facilities. During the overnight hours staffing was low and emergencies would not prompt for hospitalization as quickly.
Pressdee is facing a total of 51 charges including two new charges for first degree murder. If anyone has information on Pressdees or other potential victims they are asked to call the Attorney General tip-line at 888-538-8541.
