With Veterans Day right around the corner, Butler County Community College is recognizing students who also served the country.
According to BC3 officials, there are 60 student-veterans enrolled at the college. Nearly half of them are full-time students.
The college also set a record this year for the number of women veterans who earned a scholarship.
BC3 has six scholarships that are specifically for veterans, and this year five of those financial awards went to women who served.
BC3 officials say they are inspired by these students and appreciate that scholarships have been set aside to help them in their college studies.
