A man is in the Butler County Prison after he tried to flee police following a traffic stop.
The incident happened back in October in the City of Butler at the intersection of West Birch and West Cunningham Streets.
Police say they pulled over 57-year-old Richard Coddington for a traffic violation. During the interview, Coddington fled on foot.
He was eventually caught by police, and was found to have drugs on him. Police say Coddington was in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine and four stamp bags of heroin.
He was taken into custody and placed in the Butler County Prison.
