Butler City Council has agreed to purchase a vehicle for use by the Fire Department.
At last week’s meeting, Council approved a motion to accept a proposal from Laurel Ford for a 4 Wheel Drive pick-up truck in the amount of just over $57,000.
The truck will be delivered next month but outfitting to replace an existing rescue vehicle with modifications such as a cap, slide out tool tray, siren, and radio are likely to take an additional month or two.
Funding to pay for this vehicle is made possible through a 2021 Community Development Block Grant and donations from area organizations.
