The newest member of the Butler County Court of Common Pleas visited the Butler Township Municipal Building Tuesday night to administer oaths of office to those beginning new roles or new terms.
The Honorable Judge Maura Palumbi administered the oaths of office to re-elected Commissioners Joe Wiest and Jim Lokhaiser Jr as well as newly elected Commissioner David Rice.
Butler Township’s Volunteer Fire Department officials also received their oaths of office from Palumbi.
Commissioner Lokhaiser was elected as board president with Sam Zurzolo continuing in his role as vice-president of the board.
Areas of responsibility for each commissioner are still being determined with finalization expected at the next meeting later this month.
