A Butler County man is behind bars after he was accused of sexually assaulting a local student.
According to our news partners at WPXI, 22-year-old Brayden Edwards was a volunteer at an after-school activity at Karns City Area Junior-Senior High School where he met the 15-year-old female victim.
Officials say that the assault occurred off campus in March of 2023 and school administrators were made aware of the incident in August.
Authorities say that Edwards admitted to inappropriate contact with the victim in an interview with State Police.
Edwards was arrested on Thursday and is being held at the Butler County Jail after being unable to post $125,000 bail.
