A large number of local municipalities and organizations have received state funding through recently announced grants.
The state’s Commonwealth Financing Authority issued the Community Development Corporation of Butler County a $1.8 million Business in our Sites loan along with a $1.8 million grant that requires $1.8 million in matching funds for use at the Pullman Center Business Park.
The Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau has been awarded a $140,000 Business in our Sites Planning grant in order to accomplish an Agri-Tourism Strategic Marketing Plan.
A First Industries Agriculture Small Business First Loan in the amount of $86,000 will go to The Progress Fund for the Harmony Inn with a required match of nearly $130,000.
Finally, a PennWorks loan of over $1 million along with a grant of over $400,000 and a required match of nearly $500,000 has been designated for the Municipal Water Authority of Adams Township for the purpose of the Mars-Evans Waterline Extension.
