A new proposed Pennsylvania law would allow students to take days off for mental health without a doctor note.
The proposed bill would allow three excused absences for mental health reasons without the need for a doctor’s note.
State Rep. Napoleon Nelson sent a memo for the proposed the bill saying that one in three high school students reported experiencing poor mental health.
Nelson also said Utah and Oregon have similar laws for students.
