If this January feels a little snowier than last year, that’s because it is.
In fact, it’s significantly more according to the National Weather Service.
According to their data, the Pittsburgh area has received 9.9 inches of snow so far this month. At this point in January last year, the area had not even received an inch of snow.
The seasonal snowfall is at 11.6 inches, which is still behind the average of 19.3 inches.
