Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced that a business in Utah agreed to a settlement with the commonwealth after failing to comply with the Rental Purchase Agreement Act.
In August of 2022 the Henry sued Progressive leasing, a Utah based rent-to-own company. Henry alleged that Progressive leasing failed to place physical tag with complete financing cost information on items for rent.
The $850,000 of the $950,000 settlement will go towards consumers who rented from Progressive before September 8, 2022. Also 972 renters will have their rental purchase canceled.
