With razor-thin margins in the Pennsylvania House, a special election today will either add to the Democrat majority or bring the house to an even split.
The election will take place in Bucks County in a district that has typically favored Democrats.
This election also comes on the heels of a recent resignation by a Republican lawmaker, who stepped down Friday for health reasons.
Currently, Democrats hold a 101-100 advantage over Republicans in the House.
