The Florida Panthers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 last night at PPG Paints Arena. It was the Penguins third loss in a row. Florida scored four goals in a row in the second period, including two goals in a :30 second stretch to take a 4-0 lead. Jake Guentzel scored his 23rd goal of the season, but left the game with an upper-body injury in the third period.
The Pens visit the Chicago Blackhawks tonight. Face-off is 8:30pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 8pm. The Blackhawks have lost seven games in a row. They have been without star rookie Connor Bedard, who suffered a broken jaw earlier this month.
The Penguins host the Los Angeles Kings Sunday night and will retire Jaromir Jagr’s #68 jersey in a ceremony prior to the game.
