A longtime local restaurant was significantly damaged in an overnight fire.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just after 2 a.m. Sunday for a fire at W. Rick’s Taproom and Grill on Meridian Road.
When crews got on scene, they found flames roaring from the restaurant. Multiple departments were called in to assist with putting out the blaze.
The amount of damage done to the restaurant was significant, with most of the roof completely gone.
It’s not known what started the fire.
A portion of Meridian Road had to be closed in order to allow crews to battle the blaze.
