There is still time for residents to join a local nonprofit organization for a free educational program for friends and family of those dealing with mental illness.
Family to Family is an eight week program sponsored by NAMI, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness, that begins Wednesday continuing through April 24th at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Evans City.
This in-person, evidence-based class will include course materials about understanding diagnosis, treatment options, crisis management, communication techniques, and self-case provided at no cost.
Class size is limited. Those interested in participating should visit the website of NAMI to register by Wednesday.
