The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-3 last night at PPG Paints Arena. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Penguins. Reilly Smith led the Pens with a goal and and two assists. Jeff Carter scored the game-winning goal in the third period on a Penguins power play.
The Pens host Washington Thursday. They have gone 10-15 over their last 25 games since the New Year. The Pens are eight points from a playoff spot.
