The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 8-4 Sunday. The Bucs visit Philadelphia this afternoon in Clearwater, Florida. They have seven spring training games remaining.
Over the weekend, the Pirates signed veteran outfielder Michael A. Taylor to a one-year $4 million contract. Taylor hit a career-high 21 home runs with the Minnesota Twins last year.
The Bucs also signed former New York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German to a minor league contract.
