State Representative Aaron Bernstine is taking aim at a proposed bill that passed the Pennsylvania House that would essentially ban “self-assembled firearm” parts.
The House recently passed a bill that would “impose felony charges on anyone who sells or purchases a firearm or firearm parts without serial numbers.”
This is an attempt to stop the growing market of what are known as “ghost guns.”
Bernstine believes that this is an infringement on the Pennsylvania Constitution and is challenging its legal authority.
The bill passed the state house, but is not expected to pass the GOP-led Senate.
