In the women’s NCAA basketball tournament last night – Iowa eliminated defending national champion LSU 94-87 in their Elite Eight matchup. Caitlyn Clark led the Hawkeyes with 41 points and 12 rebounds helping to send her team to the Final Four for the second consecutive season. Clark netted nine three-point shots in the game, tying an NCAA individual game record. She also has 538 three-pointers in her career, setting a new NCAA Division I record as well.
UConn defeated Southern Cal 80-73 in the other national quarterfinal game. The Huskies will meet Iowa in the semifinals Friday night. Top overall seed South Carolina will meet North Carolina State in the other semifinal.
