The Pittsburgh Penguins visit the New York Islanders tonight for a 7pm face-off. The Pens have officially been eliminated from the post-season after Washington defeated Philadelphia 2-1 last night to claim the final Eastern Conference Wild Card spot.
The Capitals scored an empty-net goal with the game tied at 1-1. Philadelphia head coach John Tortorella pulled his goaltender for the extra attacker with the game tied because the Flyers needed to win the game in regulation in order to have a chance to make the playoffs.
