The USDA is reminding foreign investors that own land in Butler and surrounding counties that they need to report their holdings and transactions to the government.
A federal law requires all foreign investors who buy, sell, or hold an interest in U.S. agricultural land to report to the USDA.
These reports can be made at the Butler County FSA office, which is located on Evans City Road.
The local reports are then used in turn to prepare an annual report to Congress.
