The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is continuing spring road project maintenance work around Butler County this week.
These activities include drainage work along Brownsdale and Renfrew Roads in Penn Township and Route 528 (Prospect Road) along with patching which will be taking place on Routes 422 in Muddy Creek Township as well as Reibold Road in Forward Township, Cruikshank Road in Middlesex Township, Three Degree Road in Penn and Forward Townships, and West Sunbury Road in Clay Township.
Shoulder cutting and mowing is planned for Route 528 in Franklin and Connoquenessing Townships as well as Country Lane Road in Franklin Township, and Route 8 while bridge cleaning will occur along Route 38 in Center Township and Route 422 in Butler Township.
A PennDOT contractor is also continuing a project on Freedom Road in Cranberry Township to address drainage, widening, and signal work between Haine School Road and Lovi Road. Weather dependent nightly lane closures are expected to continue through June 17th.
