Pennsylvania veterans who receive benefits will no longer be taxed on those benefits thanks to a new law.
The bipartisan law passed without a single no vote in both the house and senate will see veterans receive a full tax exclusion for any benefit payment they receive.
The law will also ensure that federal payments will not disqualify a disabled veteran for commonwealth assistance programs or rebates.
Spouses of veterans who are unmarried after the death of the veteran will also be included in the tax exclusion.
The law will take effect in 60 days.
