The Public Utility Commission is reminding residents across the state of an upcoming hearing about potential rate increases.
Hearings have already started across the Commonwealth but on Wednesday officials will be in Butler County. Two meetings will take place at BC3’s Founders Hall with one hearing at 1 p.m. and another at 6 p.m.
First Energy is looking for an increase in revenue of 34 percent for a total of over $500 million. This will impact both West Penn and Penn Power customers.
There will also be phone hearings on July 17th at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. with preregistration required.
