Windy conditions Wednesday afternoon led to a number of power outages across the county.
According to First Energy, around 5 p.m. Wednesday there were over 1,600 homes that were without power mostly in southern Butler Township along with Penn and Jefferson Townships.
As of this morning, there are about 50 homes without power.
The exact cause of the outage was not specified but likely a result of gusting winds moving through the area as remnants of Hurricane Beryl.
Emergency responders were also busy helping with incidents around the area Wednesday including trees and wires down on roads in Buffalo, Connoquenessing, Summit, Marion, and Mercer Townships.
