Work crews are continuing to make progress on the construction project at the Knoch High School campus.
The Knoch School board approved several change orders at their meeting Wednesday night totaling just under $100,000 including replacing eight inch gas line service to the High School at a price not to exceed $45,000.
Additional change orders cover terra cotta pipe replacement, auditorium roof repair work, and landscaping in the courtyard as well as encasement of an existing storm line, additional gas line repair excavation, alteration of a drain inlet, and removal of a roof hatch.
With 70 to 90 workers at the site every day, steel is expected to be finished by the end of this month followed by flooring in August. Dry wall is beginning and concrete is being poured. Asphalt work will begin in a couple weeks along with exterior skin.
