Daniel Brown and Shane Lowry have been atop the leaderboard at the Open after the opening round, and the early part of day two. Early this morning, both golfers were at 6-under, three strokes ahead of Justin Thomas. Brown had two late birdies during the first round to catch Lowry. He finished with a 65.
Tiger Woods opened the tournament with an 8-over 79 on a cold, windy and rainy day at the Royal Troon Golf Course in Scotland.
