The Freeport Middle School saw an increased police presence yesterday after a bullet casing was found in the parking lot.
In a note to parents and families, district officials say a casing from a .22 caliber round was found Monday. The bullet never entered the building.
The district brought in additional school police officers and Buffalo Township Police out of an abundance of caution.
