A woman in Cranberry Township is facing charges after being accused of stealing over $140,000 from a Cranberry business.
Cranberry Township Police have accused 32-year-old Kristin Jakub of Export of stealing $143,000 from State Pipe Services from October 2019 to February 2022.
Jakub was hired to handle the accounting for Pipe Services in August of 2019 and was given a company credit card. On the that card she made 698 unauthorized transactions and would use the company bank account to make payments.
On top of unauthorized purchases Jakub would also increase her hourly pay and the number of hours she worked to increase her weekly pay.
Jakub has been charged with several counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
