The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Miami Marlins 6-4 last night at PNC Park. Andrew McCutchen hit his 20th home run of the season. It was a three-run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning. It was the tenth time in McCutchen’s career that he was reached at least 20 home runs in a season.
The Pirates used seven bullpen pitchers in last night’s victory. Bryan Reynolds and Isaiah Kiner-Falefa had two hits each. Reynolds scored twice and drove in a run.
The Pirates and Marlins complete their three-game series this afternoon at 12:35pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 12:10pm.
