The Cranberry community is mourning the loss of a former fire chief.
Bill Spiegel passed away earlier this week.
Spiegel was a longtime firefighter in the county, serving both with the Callery Volunteer Fire Company and Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company.
Spiegel held every line officer position, including chief from 2007 to 2010.
