Taxes in Saxonburg will go up by 1.5-mills after not raising taxes in the last 11 years.
According to officials with the borough, this is due to cost increases and the expiration of a 2-mil debt service for water work that was completed.
The debt service would lapse and taxes were not increased after 2013.
In total the borough will collect an increase of around $19,000 over the next year and the average home owner will pay an increase of around $24 a month.
No additional funding will go towards fund raising at Roebling Park from the borough.
