Local groups are marking America’s upcoming 250th anniversary with a special hike later this week.
The hike is planned for Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon on the Pleasant Valley Trail at Moraine’s South Shore Park Office.
This two-mile hike through woods and open spaces is considered easy but participants are advised to wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather as well as bring water and snacks.
Butler County’s Liberty Tree was dedicated in a ceremony held in October.
