The final event of the year for an organization that supports women is being held in Slippery Rock later today and attendance is free.
The Butler County Chamber of Commerce is holding the 4th and final Women’s Alliance event of the year, “Self-Care Health Fair.” It will feature Dr. Richard Begg, a cardiologist with Independence Health System.
Dr. Begg will be speaking about the early warning signs of a heart attack and effective prevention methods. Dr. Begg has been a cardiologist for over 37 years.
The event will start at 5 p.m. at the Slippery Rock Golf Club and Events Center. A salad bar and broccoli cheddar soup will be offered with a cash bar.
