Several Western Pennsylvania Congress people have written a letter to the U.S. Coast Guard urging them to maintain equipment and vessels being removed.
Representatives Guy Reschenthaler, Glen “GT” Thompson, Chris Deluzio, Summer Lee, and Butler Congressman Mike Kelly, along with Senator John Fetterman, have all signed a letter sharing concern about the removal of equipment at STA Pittsburgh.
The Coast Guard Station assists with responding to natural disasters, maintaining and repairing navigational aids along the rivers, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and responding to potential threats, according to the letter.
