The ridiculous timing of the college football transfer portal has forced the hand of Penn State back-up quarterback Beau Prebula, who will leave the Nittany Lions prior to their College Football Playoff game this weekend with SMU.
Pitt running back Desmond Reid and linebacker Kyle Louis received second-team All-America honors Monday from the Associated Press. Penn State junior edge rusher Abdul Carter was named to first-team honors.
West Virginia will face Memphis tonight in the Frisco Bowl. Kick-off is 9pm. The Mountaineers introduced Rich Rodriguez over the weekend as their former coach returns to take over the West Virginia program next year. West Virginia enters the game 6-6 this season. Memphis is ranked #25 and are 10-2. They are 4-1/2 point favorites.
