Police have identified the man accused of leaving a dog outside of the Humane Society in cold temperatures.
Charges were filed over the weekend against 64-year-old Douglas Fleeger of Karns City. Police say it happened overnight on November 26th, when Fleeger allegedly drove to the Humane Society in Connoquenessing Township and removed a dog cage out of a trailer.
He then left the dog outside overnight, when temperatures were around 33 degrees.
Police were able to connect the crime to Fleeger, who admitted to police he left the dog outside.
Humane Society officials say the dog is recovering and remains under their care.
