The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 7-3 last night. Sidney Crosby had a four point night, with a goal and three assists. He has now tied Mario Lemieux’s for the most assists in Penguins franchise history.
The Penguins went 3-for-3 on power plays in the game, and did not take a penalty. The Pens are now within a point of an Eastern Conference playoff position.
The Pens are off for the NHL’s Christmas break, and will have a home-and-home series with the New York Islanders beginning in New York Saturday and then in Pittsburgh Sunday of this weekend.
