The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed free agent Adam Frazier to a one-year deal worth $1.5 million. The 33-year old Frazier played for the Kansas City Royals last season. He became an All-Star with the Bucs in 2021, the same season the Pirates traded him to San Diego in exchange for three prospects which included outfielder Jack Suwinski. Last season with the Royals, Frazier batted .202 with four home runs and 22 RBI’s.
Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes is one of three players being featured on the 2025 edition of the MLB “The Show” video game. Skenes is on the cover with Elly De La Cruz of Cincinnati and Gunnar Henderson of Baltimore. It is the first time in the history of the game that it has had more than one player featured on the cover. Skenes is the second Pirate to make the cover, following Andrew McCutchen who was featured on the 2013 cover.
