A new statewide grant aims to better support survivors of sexual violence.
A $2.5 million federal grant was awarded to the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency to establish a statewide sexual assault kit tracking system.
This grant will help implement a new law that passed last October which requires the state to create an electronic statewide system to track sexual assault kits.
Advocates of the law say it helps sexual assault victims know their case is being handled with extreme care.
