A Prospect woman is facing charges after it’s alleged she broke into a Jefferson Township home and stole a gun.
Police were called to a home on the 200 block of Heller Road for a reported break in. When police arrived, the victim of the theft showed police a broken window and said a gun was taken from a safe.
Surveillance video showed a man and woman breaking into the home and taking the gun. After video was shared on social media of the alleged theft 27-year-old Samantha Eppinger was identified.
She’s now facing several charges including burglary, criminal trespassing, and possession of a firearm prohibited. She’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
